The Task: Market Ragn-Sells as the preferred return point for scrap cars (in Sunnhordland)

The Result: A viral film that has put Ragn Sells on the "wreck car map" with a twinkle in his eye.

Ragn‐Sells is a 100% family owned recycling contractor established in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Poland. The core business is the transport, sorting and processing of waste from business and the private sector, and from this waste the company produces secondary raw materials such as paper, plastics and metals for the world market.

Dismantling of wrecked cars is an important part of Ragn-Sells’ services, and in Stord the company has one of its modern car recovery facilities. In order to market this offer to potential customers in Sunnhordland, and take the position as the region’s leading reception for scrap cars, we were asked to make a film.

Funerals are usually sad and heavy times. Getting rid of a faithful toiler of an old donation can also be very sad for many. Nevertheless, we saw the seeds of a funny and absurd film idea in precisely the funeral setting. Despite the fact that this topic can be perceived as somewhat sensitive by some, the customer was on board from the first estimate.

The result was a film that is one of the most viewed on Ragn-Sells’ Facebook page, with over 54,000 views. Combined with regular screenings at cinemas in Sunnhordland for half a year, the film has given Ragn-Sells positive and increased attention as a beneficial and responsible receiver of car wrecks – both locally in the region and nationally.
